Chocolate Banana Campfire Cones

July 18, 2013

Actually, they can also be called: “make-your-own-delightful cone.”  My cone, which was by far, the best, just happened to contain massive amounts of cocoa almond butter and banana which made it heavenly 😉

I happened to overcook mine by a few minutes too many. I would be sure to keep vigilant watch over these little suckers while they are cooking next to the fire. Be sure to check them at 5 minutes in order to avoid a burnt cone.

The day we made these cones was an epic beach day!  The weather was perfect, the food was great and the company was awesome!  One of the components of a great beach day: a picture of you and your friend that is photo-bombed by your wonderful husband:

Interesting…..I didn’t want my husband looking like a creeper in this post, so here’s a better one:

That’s much better!

It’s been difficult to blog lately. I got old this past week, turned the big 2-8. One of my friend’s kindly reminded me that this brings me closer to the 30’s club. Sweet!  Anyway, I feel blessed that I had an almost 4-day birthday celebration. It was awesome, full of lots of delicious food, friends and family.

Campfire/beach recipes have been super fun to blog! It’s amazing how many more recipes we want to experiment with: dutch-oven upside down cake, dutch oven paella, fun versions of corn-on-the-cob!  The list goes on!  Hopefully we will get some time to try some new things in the next couple of weeks!  Please check back and visit me;)
