Things to do in Philadephia

May 23, 2013

Several weeks back, husband and I chaperoned an 8th grade field trip to Washington DC. This is our third year in a row chaperoning this trip. We scored this awesome deal because husband’s best friend is an 8th grade history teacher and he leads this trip every year.

We landed in Philly and spent our first day roaming around the city after a red-eye. With no sleep, 3 chaperones, lots of Starbucks, lots of layers (it’s super cold for us Southern Californians,) and 30 children, I would say we successfully conquered the city.

Glad you had fun in my hometown, the city of brotherly love! If you return next year you and your husband should check out a show at Arden Theatre Company (right next to Christ Church) Quality of Broadway productions in a more intimate space. There is also amazing Children’s Theatre for the young ones too! I have to ask – did you have a cheesesteak?

Nice photos 🙂 Wow a class of 30, that’s pretty big. I’ve always enjoyed field trips as a kid. Is it true that it’s always sunny in Philadephia? 😀

Ironically I was in Philadelphia last week on a business trip. We did not have time for sight-seeing but what we saw was great. I put a few pictures on my blog. It is just over an hour flight for us from Buffalo. It got rather hot while we were there. (Not sure if you are getting this comment twice. I tried to post last night using my iPad and it was just spinning. Sorry if you get it twice.)

I loved flying from So Cal to the east coast for my 9th grade field trip! Philadelphia was my favorite of all the cities we visited! Touching the liberty bell was amazing. So neat to see your photos =0)
