Scrubs Review

One of the things I love about being a nurse is that it feels like I get to wear my pajamas to work!  The medical scrubs that I choose to wear go through my own stringent screening process. Uniformed Scrubs contacted me a few weeks ago and asked if I would review one of their new scrub tops. I love it!  It’s probably my favorite scrub top yet!

Dickies Scrubs

Here are the things I love about it:

Lots of pockets: As a nurse I tend to carry a variety of items with me at all times such as: scissors, tape, alcohol swabs, pens, scratch paper, chapstick, gum, rubber-bands and bobby pins. I need alot of room in those pockets!

Comfy material: The last thing I want is to feel super uncomfortable all day in my scrubs/pajamas!  The material is soft and delicate on my skin!

Length: The last thing I want is to have a high-water top, especially since I have a fairly long torso!  I love the length of this top!  I don’t have to worry about reaching up to hang an IV bag and flashing my patient a little belly button!

Style:  I wasn’t endowed with the most shapeliest of figures. This top helps to accentuate some shape without looking like I’m wearing a paper bag!  The material cinches in the back which will give anyone the appearance of a waist!  Sweet!

        Happy Nurse’s week!!

When I got pregnant with my daughter in 2011 my husband and I realized that we didn’t want to live paycheck to paycheck. So after some googling we found Dave Ramsey, I read his Total Money Makeover book and loved him. Following his plan, we paid off all of our credit cards (about 17k YIKES), our car loans (22k) and my husband’s student loan (21k). I work as a research associate for the steel industry in NJ. And with most of our debt paid down now, I am able to leave work the end of June and be home with our baby 🙂

You’re blog has been so motivating for us….It has been so great to watch your mortgage payoff picture get smaller and smaller each month. Helps keep us on track when we don’t want to be lol

Thank you so much for sharing your personal journey!!!

And by the way – Nurse’s are amazing! My daughter was born 10 weeks early due to preeclampsia and we owe everything to the nurses that took care of her 24 hours a day for 7 weeks and helped her become the thriving 18 month old that she is now 🙂

        Have a great week!!!!
