What nurses look like during an inservice

September 20, 2012

Inspiration from this website has led me to start creating my own nursing memes.  As nurses, their is a lot of  quirkiness to deal with between patients, doctors and our coworkers.  It will be fun to shed a little light on the stuff we do and deal with.

Nurses

Questions for you: Ever felt this way?  Is having food at a meeting distracting or necessary?

Thanks for reading.

Food at a meeting is a must in my books. It makes people happier and more alert. I have sat through meetings that ran way past their time STARVING! I don’t remember half the meeting. Your brain needs fuel to function 🙂 Great post! Nursing must be a very tough job that requires a lot of patience and care. I commend you for doing such a tough job ❤

I completely agree!!! Food completely makes people more alert, and in return they pay attention to what’s going on in the meeting!

BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!!! That site it great, watched through pg 5 and will have to recheck them later….I am a travel RN and have almost–finished the testing for my next assignment. I think giving childbirth is easier than some of the questions that they ask. Plus the stupid drug screen, and the PPD–only my 4th one this calendar year.
    Anyway–thanks for the laughs.

4th PPD in one year???? That’s nuts!!! That website is one of my favorite nursing websites by far! My favorite is the one with the comforting a crying patient with a broom….”there there.”

Love your blog. We just commented on food at an inservice last week-because there was NONE! Not even coffee…. : (

Thank you!!! So important to at least have SOMETHING! Even if it is coffee, just to keep us awake 😉

In an all day meeting (all nurses in the room of course) that we have once a month, someone brought food – finally. The same comment was made how can nurses meet without once stick of food in the room?

It just makes it more difficult to keep up the energy without a little something to munch on ;(
